The Bracelet

A single chain lay delicately on a small, white, wrist.
Four small pendants hang in a single cluster.
Everything else the bracelet is plain, small, brassy, silver, chains interlocking together.
Just big enough to go around her wrist with a little extra room to dangle.
The first pendant is a dove. Its’ wings out spread. The other one is a pearl. The other two are a peace sign and a metal piece with the word peace engraved on it.
The cheaply made bracelet soon began to fall apart. The bird dropped first. The next one lost during the rain was the pearl. Soon she realized that all was left was peace.
The peace sign seemed so ugly next to the peace emblem.
She ripped the bracelet from her wrist and grabbed her jewelry pliers. She ripped off the peace sign and fixed the bracelet to make sure the one lasting pendant stayed.
Peace. She felt peace wash over her. A peace only the Savior could give. The small chain with the single pendant hanging from it is a continuing reminder that God gives her peace.
No one but Him.
